It breaks my heart to write this post. Never in a million years would I have to start the morning of 2018 on a bittersweet note.

I am/was not close to this particular senior of mine. However, he was one of the first seniors I encountered in university. Being one of the leaders for my freshman orientation camp groups, he was friends with us freshies.

Even after the camp, he always asks my friends and I how we were faring in school. I never saw him with a frown, and he was always friendly. I am sure that he was a good friend to many others as well. I also knew that he recently got engaged too.

But Allah swt loved him more. He returned to Him this morning.

I am never close to him, but I only have fond memories of him. Masha’Allah. I can only pray that he would be placed amongst the pious and righteous. Looking at his last Instagram post, I am sure that he will find a rainbow. Insya’Allah, I pray.

I know that this is a period that is hard to fathom for his family, fiancee and friends. Insya’Allah, we continue to remember him, and our purpose in this Dunia.

Brother Allahyarham Husaini, thank you for being there. We belong to Allah swt and to Him we shall return.

Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un.

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

With death, may there be life.

Leave some potato love! I'd love to hear from you.
